What Courage can Provide

Befriending: Courage does not offer a counselling service as such. However, with Jeremy and others having ‘been there’, we are able to understand and provide pastoral support for Christians who wish to come to terms with their homosexuality in the context of their Christian faith.

Discipleship Groups: for women, men and marriage partners – in fact for all who seek Christ (whatever their sexual orientation) – meeting in Central London, usually on the first Friday of the month, with occasional additional special events – keep an eye on the What’s On page for further information. (See the Discipleship Groups web page for further details of membership.) Courage meetings are intended to complement (rather than replace) fellowship in the local church for each member.

We also run two retreats for group members each year, usually held in January and September. And from time to time, we hold other special interest groups – for instance for married gay men, for married partners of GLB people, for those in same-sex partnerships, etc.

Literature: We provide literature for gay and lesbian people, their families and friends, pastors and counsellors, and any others who may be interested in the subject of how to reconcile being gay and Christian.

Mailing List: our Newsletter is mailed two or three times a year, and includes teaching materials, ministry news, details of forthcoming conferences, etc.

Seminars and Conferences (for churches and other groups): these cover many aspects of ministry to those seeking a solution to their problems with homosexuality.

‘Speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is Christ. From him, the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.’

Ephesians 4:15,16
